Although Linda studied all dance genres, receiving Honours in all of her exams including Advanced, her passion was Ballet and at the age of 17 was invited to join the Israel Ballet Company in Tel Aviv.
Linda, later went on to teach in New York and Philadelphia, before returning to the UK to teach at the Conibear School of Dancing in Tunbridge Wells, where she had trained as a young child.
After a career break to raise her 4 children, (her youngest daughter Lucy, trained at the Royal Ballet School ), she spent several years privately coaching students from around the country for exams and auditions for vocational schools and junior ballet companies with great success.
Linda opened the doors to BBA in September 2013 with just 3 students in a church hall, the school has been growing steadily since and now has over 100 students attending from one class to 8 classes each week in purpose built dance studios in Beckenham. In 2013 Linda was one of only 3 Ballet teachers in the UK to be nominated for the Prestigious Giles Bursary award, which recognises the highest standards in teaching.
Linda has just been appointed by the Royal Academy of Dance to Mentor new trainee teachers on the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies programme (CBTS). It is a great honour to be involved in the training of the RAD's future teachers, and something Linda is very excited to be a part of.
BBA’s Principal, Linda, was trained at the world renowned Bush Davies School in Sussex, which was a centre of excellence for vocational training, with pupils attending from all over the globe. Linda was extremely fortunate to be trained by many of the highest esteemed ballet teachers of that time - Frank Freeman, Alex Morrow, Joyce Percy, David Wall, Alfreda Thorogood, Heather Fish and Christopher Gable.
